Elizabeth Falkner

-The Interview

  Chef Elizabeth Falkner

While studying fine arts and film at the San Francisco Art Institute Elizabeth Falkner had a part time job at Williams Sonoma. Little did she realize that part time job in the late 1980's would lead her to change her career path and apply her fine arts degree to the culinary arts. From chef of Café Claude in 1990 to Julian Serrano's kitchen at MASA'S, to becoming pastry chef for both ELKA and Rubicon, before opening Citizen Cake. Chef Falkner's career path has led her to recognition in culinary competitions, publishing a book (Demolition Desserts), and numerous television appearances. We met her at her latest restaurant ORSON where she gave us her story.
